the ten Commandments (1956)
In 1954, Frank was working under Bud at Universal, but Wally hired Frank to work with Cecil B. DeMille on the Ten Commandments. The film had a cast of thousands and was filmed on location in Cairo, Egypt. After the makeup department was built in the middle of the windy desert, Frank mixed up his light-colored liquid makeup and proceeded to use the spray gun to put body and face makeup on hundreds of extras.

In 1972, Frank won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for his work on the pilot for the Kung Fu television series.
